Frequently Asked Questions — Workout Timer
Does the timer work for Tabata?
Yes. Tabata is 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds. Set 20 seconds (or 4 minutes for the whole Tabata), enable Auto-Repeat, and the timer cycles automatically.
Can I project it on a TV in the gym?
Yes. Press F to fullscreen, then connect your laptop to a TV via HDMI or cast to a smart TV from a phone.
Does it have different alert sounds?
Yes. Use the configuration menu to pick the bell volume. Some users mute the alert and rely on the visual countdown only.
Is there a Tabata preset?
There is a quick link for a 4-minute Tabata above. You can also build your own URL: ?minutes=4&autoplay=true&repeat=true&source=workout.
Can athletes share their own intervals?
Yes. Every URL is shareable. An athlete can set up a HIIT timer and share it with the rest of the class.
Does it work offline at the gym?
Yes. After the first visit, the timer is cached and works without internet. Most gyms have spotty Wi-Fi, so this is the default behaviour.
